Water In Fuel Sensors

The Water In Fuel Sensors (WIF) are measuring devices that detect the presence of water in diesel fuel. They send an electrical signal to the ECU or the dashboard to inform the operator or driver about e.g. the necessity of draining the filter bowl. Water in fuel sensors protect fragile diesel injection system against water damages.

Can be designed with wide range of complexity:

  • Based on analog electronic
  • Based on microcontroller
  • Simple, based on reed switch
